He is not in the mail order business, or as a regular retailer, but if you are in the area (near Gainesville, Fl) give him a call to see if you can stop by. He has 500-600 taxa of gingers, and will sell to groups at the nursery by appointment. His normal minimum order at wholesale is $200.

I just discovered this on the web, and know nothing else about them, but they list 54 varieties of gingers on their website, including a very nice selection of Costus and some hard-to-find Globbas.

I visited their facility in October 2000, and was impressed by both the selection and the reasonable wholesale prices. Their current catalog lists Alpinias, Burbidgea, Costus, Curcuma, Globba, Hedychiums, Kaempferias and Zingibers. There were several other plants not listed in the catalog, including several Costus species and a Dimerocostus. They are strictly wholesale and have a minimum order of $100.

I visited there in October 2000 and found a top notch facility. They have a great selection of gingers that appear to be top quality, but the prices are higher than average for the wholesale facilities I visited. Their inventory includes a large variety of Alpinias, Costus, Curcuma, Kaempferia, Etlingera, Globba, Hedychium, Kaempferia, Pleuranthodium,, Stahlianthus, Tapeinochilus, and Zingiber.

I visited in October 2000 and took a very short tour as they were extremely busy when I was there. They have an excellent variety of gingers including some I have not seen elsewhere, at very reasonable prices. Catalog lists Alpinia, Cornukaempferia, Costus, Curcuma, Etlingera, Hedychium, Kaempferia, Tapeinochilus, and Zingiber.

I visited in October 2000, and I was quite impressed with the variety, quality and prices. There were several not-so-common gingers (such as Alpinia 'Chinese Variegated Beauty' and Costus venusta) in large quantities at very special prices. They had many more gingers than what was shown on their printed price list, so it is worth a call or visit.
